Description
Drawing inspiration from sources ranging from Fluxus to tarot decks, artists’ books to Trapper Keepers, this mini-collection from the Harvard Art Museums, printed on unbound cards, can be shuffled, organized, or displayed however you choose.
The Harvard Art Museums, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, are home to more than a quarter of a million objects, from ancient times to the present, and from nearly every corner of the world. The size and scope of the collections as well as the diverse array of exhibitions and events on offer mean that there is always a fresh way to experience the museums, whether you are visiting for the first time or the hundredth.
This art deck—a peek into the vast treasures of the museums through a sampling of 75 works of art—has something for everyone: recent acquisitions, stories from the archives, new takes on old favorites, and more. Exciting new perspectives on the museums’ world-class collection are provided by a range of contributors from inside and outside the museum walls, both across campus and well beyond.
