Friday 3 October 2014 George Catlin's American Buffalo to open at Mennello Museum of American Art

In his travels west during the 1830s, American artist George Catlin captured on canvas the significance of the buffalo to the life and culture of the Plains Indians. Organized by the Smithsonian American Art Museum in collaboration with the National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, this travelling exhibition will be at The Mennello Museum of American Art, Orlando, FL, from October 3, 2014 through January 4, 2015.
